The Radio, Television, and Cinema Program was first offered in the fall semester of 2018-2019 within the Faculty of Communication at Hasan Kalyoncu University. The medium of instruction is Turkish, and the preparatory class is optional. Students graduate upon completing a total of 240 credits, 30 credits per semester, and upon fulfilling two mandatory internships. Upon graduation, students can apply for post graduate programs, provided they meet the requirements for admission.
Throughout the first degree program, students explore communication from cultural and societal perspectives. They gain knowledge in the fields of cinema-video art, audiovisual expertise, television arts and technologies, production, management, screenwriting, cinematography, radio broadcasting, and sound-related theoretical and applied areas. The department embraces an interdisciplinary approach, directing students towards practical application and research.
The Radio, Television, and Cinema Program maintains strong links with international cinema schools and their affiliated international organizations, ensuring we remain in step with the constantly evolving fields of science and art. With its Erasmus+ student exchange agreements, the program provides students with the opportunity to improve their foreign language skills and gain experience abroad. Additionally, both internal and external internships are available to allow students to apply their knowledge in practice.
